When you will need to clean your leather products depends on how often and in what way you use it. If you use the product on a daily basis, then you should clean it every three months. If it’s only used for weekends or special occasions every six to nine months will likely be enough to keep your piece clean and protected.
- Cleaning and conditioning
- Always use a cleaning product that is specifically designed for leather. Rub the leather cleaner into the product surface in a circular motion and allow it to sit for a few minutes, then, carefully wipe it off with a clean, damp cloth.
- Like our skin, over time leather can dry out and crack. Moisturising your leather piece can help prevent this. As mentioned above, ensure any lotion used is designed for leather goods.
- Store your leather product in a dark place with stuffing inside to help keep its shape. It should be placed inside a dust bag and please ensure that your leather product is completely dry to prevent it from moulding.
